Do you know Who I am?

The single most self-incriminating sentence in the English language.

Nobody has ever said it and come out ahead. It gets deployed at airline gates, hotel front desks, restaurant hosts, and — memorably, for the person saying it — traffic stops. The answer is always no, and asking has never once improved the situation.

So here it is on a sticker, where it can be said permanently, without having to say it.

It works three ways and doesn't pick one

As a joke: you are being that person, deliberately, and everyone can see you doing it.

As a real question: which it increasingly is. Your face is in datasets nobody asked you about, on cameras you didn't notice, in systems that can generate a convincing version of you. Do you know who I am is a stranger question now than it was ten years ago.

As a flat statement: no. Nobody does. That's mostly fine.

Stick it where it'll be read by people who don't know you — a laptop lid in a coffee shop, a bottle at the gym, a case on a plane. It's funniest to strangers, which is a rare property for a sticker.

Four sizes, and they're for different things

Size Best for
3″×4″ Water bottles, phone cases, notebooks, laptop corners. The everyday size.
4″×6″ Laptop lids, tablet cases, toolboxes. The most common choice.
6″×8″ Car windows, guitar cases, cooler lids, mini fridges. Reads from across a room.
8″×10″ Doors, car panels, workshop walls, luggage. Reads from across a parking lot.

If you're unsure, get the 4″×6″. It's the one that fits a laptop lid properly without taking over.

The vinyl is better than sticker vinyl usually is

Cheap stickers fade, bubble, curl at the edges, and leave adhesive when you finally remove them. This doesn't do any of those.

Water, scratch, and UV resistant — the UV part is what matters. It's why this survives a car window or a bottle that lives in sunlight rather than turning grey in a season.

Dishwasher safe, which means a water bottle is a real option rather than a two-week one.

Bubble-free application — the adhesive is designed to release air as you press it down, so you don't get the trapped-bubble result that ruins most stickers on the first try.

Removable without residue. You can take it off a laptop when you sell it, or off a wall when you move, and there's nothing left behind.

Kiss-cut, meaning the vinyl is cut but the backing isn't — so the sticker sits on a square backing sheet and peels cleanly. Easier to handle and easier to store than a die-cut.

$5.99.

Frequently asked questions

What does it say? "Do you know who I am?" — two lines.

What size should I get? 4″×6″ is the safe choice and the right fit for a laptop lid. 3″×4″ for water bottles and phone cases, 6″×8″ for car windows and guitar cases, 8″×10″ for doors and luggage.

Will it survive a dishwasher? Yes. It's dishwasher-safe, which is what makes a water bottle a realistic place to put it.

Will it fade in the sun? It's UV resistant, so it holds up on a car window or anything that lives outdoors. That's the difference between this and a printed paper sticker.

Can I take it off? Yes. The adhesive is removable and doesn't leave residue — you can pull it off a laptop before selling it and there'll be nothing left behind.

What does kiss-cut mean? The vinyl is cut but the paper backing isn't, so the sticker sits on a square backing sheet. It peels off cleanly, it's easier to handle, and it stores flat without curling.

Will it bubble when I apply it? The adhesive is designed to release air as you press down, so bubbles work themselves out. Start from one edge and press across rather than dropping it flat.

Can I use it outdoors? Yes — water, scratch, and UV resistant, so car windows, coolers, and toolboxes all work.
